We’re so excited to announce that for every product we sell in 2022, an equal amount of ocean-bound plastic will be collected and removed from the environment through our collaboration with Plastic Bank.
This certification is a major step Comfort Zone is taking in its sustainability journey. Along with a strong focus on reducing the use of virgin plastic and selecting biobased and recycled plastic, we have decided to also commit to a very ambitious goal and obtain that in 2022 our products become 100% Certified Plastic Neutral by Plastic Bank.
“
Sustainability is not a goal, but a journey. Being Certified Plastic Neutral by Plastic Bank in 2022 confirms two of our core values: care and innovation. For that reason, the plastic neutrality certification is just one step further along this path, which we hope many other companies will want to take.

For many years Comfort Zone has been focusing on eco-designing the packaging, reducing the use of natural resources, choosing the most circular materials, especially when speaking about plastic, and introducing refillable solutions.
We are more than aware that no material is perfect, and that packaging encompasses a variety of environmental challenges from the supply chain of raw materials, to the end-of-life and possible dispersion of the empty products into the environment. This is why we have decided to act on all these aspects.
Among the different eco-design actions already taken, in 2021 we launched our first partnership with Plastic Bank: we prevented 100 tonnes of plastic from being dispersed in the sea. It has been a great start which this year we have brought to the next level by exponentially increasing our commitment.
Plastic Bank is helping the world stop ocean bound plastic while improving the lives of collector communities. They build ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal communities and reprocess the materials for reintroduction into the global manufacturing supply chain.
Plastic Bank helps to build ethical recycling ecosystems in vulnerable coastal communities all over the world.
Collectors receive bonuses, which help them provide family needs such as groceries, fuel, school, and health insurance.
Collectors collect ocean-bound plastic waste from land and beach, stopping it from reaching our oceans.
Plastic Bank’s blockchain platform provides real-time data – allowing for transparency, traceability, and rapid scalability.
Our bodies change as we age, but if you’re developing wrinkles or losing hair while you’re still young, you might be wondering if you’re experiencing “premature aging.”
